Can’t put it down when you start playing! Very challenging and fun.
Can’t put it down when you start playing! Very challenging and fun.
Simple, mind-engaging and - yes! - somewhat addictive. To reach that 2048 tile… Well, I’m a long way from that right now. Come to think of it, I may have found a permanent challenge in life!! Try this little game - you’ll like it!! :D
Fun and addicting, but no sound, no music, can get hard.
You think that beer you drink on the weekends is addicting? Psh. What about that chewing tobacco you keep in your mouth 24/7? Psh. Give me a break. Until you have sat down and played this game, you don’t know what an addiction is!
One of the best casual games I’ve played in quite a while. Its elegant simplicity is one of its biggest draws, and the math-themed tiles just click in the mind. You play with just four buttons, but the way the tiles slide around make for a surprisingly strategic challenge. If you need something to kill time, get this!
i love this its addictive but i totally dig this game its rad
Directions? We don’t need no steenking directions! And you don’t, really. The whole board shifts up/down/side to side as you tap your arrow keys. Tiles recombine as you move. And if you are like me, you might think too much. “There has to be a strategy!” I said to myself. Well, yes and no. As it turns out, I got a 500 point BETTER score than my Best Thoughtful Effort by just going in a pattern of up-right-down-left, over and over. So much for my big-deal IQ. As another person wrote, this is a great brain-clearing game between tasks. Turn off higher thinking and just poke the keys. Have fun!
I like having a game like this that has a simple interface and controls- like digital prayer beads. I’d give this five stars, except that there is no option to remove the visual clutter of the ad frame at the bottom like there is on the iOS app. Give me the chance to pay the ads away and you’ve got five stars.
since i payed this on my phone i begged the Apple powers that be to allow it to be brought to the computer. imagine the moment when i saw it on the App Store front page! i cried, i laughed, i called my best friend and said i love you, then i called my most hated enemy and begged forgiveness. it was a very good day. fast forward three days later and i’ve been playing the game for quite a while (mostly during breaks at work, occasionally during staff meetings). i achieved the seldom seen 4096 tile! it’s black! what?! i had to go back to work offsite so i closed my computer and took it with me. my computer died in transit along with the progress of the game and that beautiful black tile. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! IT DOESN’T SAVE?! THIS IS 2015! I have text messages from 2013 but i can’t save my progress in this game?! so be warned, if you want to save your progress you can’t. it won’t do it. it’s just a continual game of searching for power and never restarting your computer. it will cause me to delay all critical updates. peace be to you. you’re going to need it.
What a great game. To me this is an entirely different fromat than I have ever encountered in the past, in that tiles are all moved simultaneously, thereby increasing the difficulty of the game significantly. I have only played for about an hour, but that is enough time to determine it’s originality and the pleasure derived from embracing he challenge.
…but what a time waster…….keep going back to it.
Tired of mindless fluff?— this game is a great puzzle, entertaining, and fun to play. Dare I say…. addictive?….well it is. Exercise the grey cells, play this game! Der Duck sez….
I’ve started this game half a dozen times, and every time about 20 plays in,the app closes out and when I open it i get a fresh new game.i love this gme ,but now i think it very frustraing.
Nice game. Addicting. Once you figure out the strategy for playing, it is pretty easy; but make one mistake while daydreaming and that can be the end. It also takes some luck. If the new tiles come up in the right places, it makes getting to 4096 much easier. What is strange about this game is that it doesn’t tell you you’ve won until you get to 4096, not 2048. After 4096, it gets much harder because you have to work with less space. Also, like other reviewers said, you can’t save the game. If you don’t finish, you have to keep your computer on sleep if you want to take it up again. Not a big deal. It’s a very addicting game, and I find myself turning it on now and then even when I should be doing something else.
This is an addictive and fun game. I don’t even play it to reach the 2048, I play it until I have no more moves. Just asked my son to check it out!!
The Mac App Store suffers from a lack of really good, simple games like this. Taking up only 0.6 MB and completely free its the polar opposite of most other games here and still one of the best. Why arent there more like it? Its simple yet captivating and an utter joy to play.
An otherwise great mini-game, but it is dishonest to submit screenshots that show no ads when the real version has persistent ads that you cannot disable or pay to get rid of.
Fun, addicting.
This game is always fun to play, even though it can be frustrating at times. My high score is 1024 :D.
A great big Thank You to the devs who put this beauty together. You have managed to absolutely and utterly VAPORIZE whatever scant productivity my ego still demanded I pretend to have. Now, all I do is this. Literally. I don’t even bother eating anymore. But then again, what a great way to go! Excellent game, guys. :oD
